Exhibitions

Erika Hubatschek was so taken up with publishing her work and holding lectures that for a long time it did not occur to her to present her photographs in exhibitions. But in 1991 she received a request from the South Tyrol Museum Brunnenburg in Dorf Tirol, and put on her first large-format exhibition “Vom Leben am Steilhang“ (Life on a Steep Slope). It was so well received that exhibitions followed in Berlin, Zagreb, Milan, Corsica, Vermont, North Carolina and even in the Leica Gallery in New York.

Ten exhibitions are now available, with different topical and regional themes and in different formats: prints with passe-partouts in gallery frames, large-scale linen texture prints, light images, large-scale exhibition panels and roll-ups with photographic comparisons.

The currently available topics are:

Vom Leben am Steilhang
Bergbauern im Stubai
Frauen
Alpine women/Women of the Himalayas
Auf den zweiten Blick: Tirol

Auf den zweiten Blick: Kärnten
Das Ötztal einst und jetzt
Bauernleben – Bauernarbeit
Das Lesachtal einst und heute

Further topics are in preparation. All exhibitions can be shown in galleries, museums, cultural centers, …
